Sporting Goods Danskin 5-in-1 Dumbbell Set
- Danskin 5-in-1 Dumbbell SetThis set is very user friendly. The bars can be used alone for beginners, and then 1lb. weights can be added as the user progresses. It is very easy to change out the weights, and the weights are securely attached to the bar. I would recommend this set to anyone, from beginner to experienced strength trainer.

- Great dumbbell setI love this set! It is perfect for use with workout DVDs as long as you remember to pause the video for a second while you add/remove weights. Very easy to use! I didn't notice any of the "jiggling" of weights like other reviewers experienced. Great product, I'd recommend it to anyone! :-)

- Avoid - Needs a keyThe days of using a key to change your dumbell weights are over. The new method is using a spinning nut that you turn tight or turn loose with your hands. Keys are just a waste of time and if you loose the key or if the key bends then the weights are useless. Look for dumbbells that have a spinning nut instead.

- Fun to use.I bought these because I was looking for free weights and they showed up in my gold box. I'm glad I did. The padded bars are very comfortable and it is very easy to change the weights. The weights are a little wobbly, but it doesn't bother me at all. The packaging is more problematic as some of the weights are not wrapped in plastic and the styrofoam shipping material seems to have fused with the coating on the weights and had to be claened off. However, that same coating makes the weights very quiet to use, despite any wobbliness.
The exercise chart that comes with the set is handy for a basic routine, but some of the exercises will require a bench. Overall, a good value.

- Good valueThis dumbbell set is an overall good value for the price. The set lets you easily slip on variously sized weights so that you have a lot of flexibility with the set as far as getting the weights that you want. The hand grips also have a nice soft padding so I've found that I don't need to use weight gloves. [...] The plates do tend to wobble a bit since the clips don't keep them really tight, but it hasn't been too bad. The only other negative is that I've found that it is a bit distracting to have to shift between plates if I'm using a workout DVD that calls for a lot of different weights. I have to hit pause a lot so that I can change my weights around. Otherwise, I've been happy with this purchase!
